A little bit of caring goes a long way

Student making up a care package

As a part of Year 9 HSIE projects and in alignment with ANZAC Day, students, staff and members of our community generously donated enough food, luxury toiletries, games and entertainment activities to create 44 care packages.  Inside the boxes, students wrote a message and included the school email in case a recipient wanted to reply.

On returning to the school year and email inbox, there was the following message, reaffirming just how appreciated a little bit of Care can go:

Hi Sarah,

I’m Charlie I’m currently on operations at sea with the Australia Navy and have just received your care package that you packed for me.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the snacks and gifts and I appreciate them all so much. I hope that you got plenty of gifts yourself and got to spend your Christmas with your family. Thanks again Sarah we all really appreciate it once again and I hope you had a great Christmas 🎅

Regards,
Charlie
