“Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists they become the best they can possibly be.”
– Dr. Rita Pierson
At Kurri Kurri High School, we are committed to providing every student with the support they need to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. Our Learning and Support programs are designed to recognise each student’s unique strengths and challenges, offering personalised assistance that helps them build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.
We work in close partnership with parents, carers, teachers, and community agencies to create a strong, united network around each learner. This collaborative approach ensures that adjustments and interventions are consistent, meaningful, and tailored to support progress across all areas of school life.
Our goal is to equip students with the tools, strategies, and support they need not just to succeed at school, but to develop the skills and resilience they’ll carry into adulthood. Together, we are building a culture of care, inclusion, and high expectations—where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their potential.
Our team consists of Learning and Support Teachers (LaSTs) and School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs).
