Why choose Kurri Kurri High School?
At Kurri Kurri High School, we foster strong, positive relationships in a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. Through engaging experiences and a focus on growth, we inspire students and teachers to be confident, capable and engaged members of our community. Honouring our community's rich Aboriginal history and culture, while embracing the diversity of all our students, our goal is to ensure everyone feels empowered to create their own future.
In 2020 a revised the school logo was designed to be a symbol of progression and excellence. A symbol instantly recognisable as Kurri Kurri High School. There are two key components - the flame and the star.
The flame is a well known symbol of passion. KKHS ignites a passion for learning and self development. Passion is built through positive schooling experiences.
The star is synonymous with examples of excellence, symbolising a strong foundation for excellence in education, always looking upwards with high hopes.
